These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mega Mart, a marketplace platform connecting buyers and sellers. By creating an account or using this platform, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account and use Mega Mart.
2. Account Types
- Clients (Buyers): May browse listings and purchase products or services from sellers on the platform.
- Sellers: May list products or services for sale, subject to our seller policies, approval process, and applicable fees.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Product Approval
All product listings are reviewed before they go live on the storefront. Mega Mart reserves the right to reject or remove any listing that violates these Terms or our content guidelines, with a reason provided to the seller.
5. Seller Obligations
Sellers agree to provide accurate product descriptions, honor listed prices, respond to buyer inquiries in good faith, and comply with all applicable consumer protection and trade laws.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Listing counterfeit, stolen, or illegal goods
- Fraudulent transactions or misrepresentation
- Harassment or abuse of other users
- Circumventing platform fees
7. Payments and Fees
Seller plan upgrades (Pro/Gold) are processed through our third-party payment partner, Paystack. Mega Mart may charge service or transaction fees, which will be disclosed before a sale is completed.
8. Buyer-Seller Communication
Mega Mart facilitates initial contact between buyers and sellers, typically via WhatsApp. Mega Mart is not a party to the transaction that follows and is not responsible for the conduct of either party after contact is made.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a risk to other users of the platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
Mega Mart acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by sellers.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
